Video Editing Program

Video Editing Program

Production Companies and Advertisers are increasingly tapping the potential of online video and video/interactive content for mobile devices. This has lead to an increasing demand for qualified professionals who can plan, produce, post and publish video content for online quickly and economically. Non-linear editing tools have become more powerful and easier to use, broadband (computer and mobile) has become more available and now Advertisers expect Editors to wear many hats while simultaneously raising the production value of online content.

Video Symphony's New Media Video Editing Program addresses that challenge by preparing individuals to work in particular aspects of the production/post workflow or combine the skills and be able to "do it all"- create, edit and publish video specifically for online, mobile devices and tablet. The new media Video Editing Program provides a well-rounded education by combining the central skills of editing, motion graphics (2D and 3D) and rich media (video vis-a-vis flash and interactivity for online and mobile).

Quick Points:

• Apple's Final Cut Pro Studio based for editing and editing aspects
• Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema 4D and Flash for motion graphics and rich media
• Particular emphasis on aesthetics and conventions for online and mobile media
• Production based lab aspects provide ample opportunities for Students to create content throughout the program. Additionally, the Video Editing Program issues a recurring "30 Second Video Challenge" to stimulate creativity and generate more content.
• Students will develop the tools to remain new media savvy as technology expands the capabilities of video online
• Students will learn to produce professional HD video which can be purposed for Film, Broadcast as well as online and mobile devices.

A successful graduate will be prepared to set out to work for a Production Company perfectly capable of taking on one or multiple roles (preproduction, production, editing, graphics and delivery) or on their own as a Producer/Editor.

Financial Aid is now available for those who qualify.

This program is now available evenings and weekends as well as during weekdays.
