PT245 Foley & ADR Editing & Delivery

In this course, students will be exposed to the art of Foley and
what it means. Programming and editing Foley are two
distinct steps towards creating sounds in a film project.
Students will learn and understand how Foley is applied
towards projects, pre-dubs and the Final dub in a Pro-Tools
environment.Prerequisite: PT 210P

foley - The background sounds added during audio sweetening to replace missing audio or increase realism. Foley recording, editing & delivery requires understanding what sounds a scene really needs and what materials and/or performance techniques are essential to create such sounds. The Foley editor works with the Foley artists to create the sounds, and often with the director and mixer on the final mix.
