099 Macintosh Essentials

Our Macintosh Essentials class exists to prepare students for
upcoming classes by familiarizing them with the desktop
environment and file management to master basic tasks
before moving on to application specific assignments.
Students are introduced to a technology vocabulary;
understanding of hardware and peripherals, and how they
pertain to their work as students and in the video industry;
understanding of the basic concepts of the Operating
System, and it’s use; memory vs storage; saving, moving and
copying files; file organization and management; finding
files; working among various storage locations; various
translations between the Mac OS and the Windows
environment; basic maintenance and troubleshooting; and
more. Prerequisite: None
