Nearly 100 Video Symphony Students Pass The ACU Exam in 2009

Video Symphony would like to congratulate all our students (97 of them!)who passed the ACU Exam in 2009. These students spent countless hours mastering a comprehensive set of skills on the Avid system in order to pass this rigorous exam.
The Avid Certified User (ACU) exam establishes a professional standard for Avid editing system proficiency in the post-production industry. The two-hour monitored, online-based exam covers key functions and features of the Avid Media Composer: editing, basic effects, input and output, creating titles in Avid Marquee, and color correcting shots and sequences.
The benefit of becoming Avid Certified is that it gives a level of confidence to both the user and the prospective employer — the ACU credential is more and more in demand by employers looking to add the most qualified personnel. Avid Certified Users also are eligible to be included in the ACU database, a searchable online resource that is available to employers.
With this substantial new credential to add to their resumes, these VS grads will be extremely competitive in the job market. Nice work!
